How do you sip your TEA?

I’ve just come back from London, where I celebrated my mum’s 70th birthday.

It was a beautiful trip (and a much-needed vacation).

We went to drink afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason, and it didn’t disappoint. The place was spacious, light, and had an air of a Bridgerton get-together. It was absolutely marvellous.

What I loved the most about the whole experience was how present everyone was. We shared plenty of laughs and sat deep in conversation.

All that existed was the warm, comforting tea and yummy cakes in front of us. Nothing else. We were, shall we say, enjoying each other’s company.

It was so freeing to let the outside world go for a while, to turn off the phone and be present with my mum and family.

Sipping tea is a reminder of how we spend our Time, Energy, and Attention (TEA). It’s the most precious gift we have. Use it well.

Are you unhappy with the way you’re sipping your TEA?

Make active choices again about how you want to spend your Time, Energy, and Attention.

I recommend you sit down with a cup of Queen Anne to start. Perhaps you can sip your TEA with a colleague, a close friend, or your mum. You won’t regret it.
